INTRODUCTION
Power electronics play a major part in electric vehicle applications by providing small and high-efficiency power conversion systems. Power electronics is a circuitry device that distributes power from a source to a load in an efficient, compact, and sturdy way for easy use.
This gadget uses diodes, transistors, and thyristors to regulate the transfer of electric power from one form to another. Power electronics devices, which have a quicker switching rate and a better efficiency, can be used to efficiently perform operations at high voltage or high current.
Furthermore, depending on the application, power electronics may manage both unidirectional and bidirectional energy flow, and regenerated energy can be delivered back for utility.
At TSMC’s North America Technology Symposium and Innovation Zone, GaN Systems, the world leader in GaN (gallium nitride) power semiconductors, will present the most recent advancements in GaN power electronics.
GaN Systems will present its most recent advancements in the consumer, data centre, industrial, and automotive areas as a partner chosen by TSMC.
Also available will be a charging station from GaN Systems, where visitors can use fast-charge GaN AC/DC chargers to refuel their computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
In a presentation titled “Transforming the World with Smaller, More Efficient, More Reliable, Cost-Effective Power Electronics,” GaN Systems shares his viewpoint on the power market while showcasing the long-standing collaboration between GaN Systems and TSMC.
In several important sectors, GaN power semiconductors are quickly replacing other transistor technologies. Our shared commitment to innovate and constantly advance GaN technology to higher performance strengthens our partnership with TSMC. Through our collaboration with TSMC, we were able to realise the potential of gallium nitride and experience its magnificence in the power industry.
GaN Systems has revolutionised the world of power electronics by enabling the construction of more compact, affordable, and effective power systems that are not constrained by the constraints of yesterday’s silicon. GaN Systems is an industry-leading visionary. With GaN power semiconductors, power engineers are now capable of the unthinkable, and C-Suite executives are positively transforming their income statements.
The North America Power Electronics Market 2022-2027 accounted for $XX Billion in 2023 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2024 to 2030.
Power Electronics, the first manufacturer of solar inverters for utility-scale photovoltaic plants in America, Oceania, and Europe, and Nuvve, a global cleantech company electrifying the planet at the intersection of energy and transportation, today announced an agreement to integrate Nuvve’s vehicle-to-grid (V2G) GIVeTM platform with Power Electronics charging station technology to help intelligently electrify vehicles and help achieve global goals.
Power Electronics will add Nuvve V2G-certified capabilities to its current bidirectional chargers as part of the cooperation.
Nuvve’s cloud-based software enables Power Electronics to go beyond bidirectional charging, allowing an electric vehicle (EV) to transmit energy back to the grid, by allowing EVs to provide capacity and services that assist stabilize the grid and prevent blackouts.
Nuvve’s solution promotes renewable energy integration by allowing EVs to store energy, including that from intermittent sources such as solar and wind, while always prioritizing the driver’s mobility demands.
