Signal Conditioner is a device that converts a signal that is difficult to interpret using traditional instrumentation into a more simple, readable format. Signal conditioning technology is used to alter a signal such that it creates information for the next stage of processing.
Some of the primary drivers driving the growth of the signal conditioning market are increased infrastructure investment, the migration to PC-based systems from antiquated data collecting systems, and growing demand from the water and wastewater industry.
Furthermore, the signal conditioning market is expected to rise due to rising demand for industrial automation processes and manufacturers’ strong distribution channels.
The North America Signal Conditioning Market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2026, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2027.
The latest additions to Dataforth Corporation’s SensorLex 8B isolated analogue signal conditioners are 8B38 strain gauge input modules with a choice of 3Hz or 8kHz signal bandwidth. These modules excite strain element-based sensors, then isolate, filter, and amplify the sensor output before providing high-level analogue voltage output.
Excitation voltages of 3.333V or 10.000V are available, allowing sensors with nominal impedances of 100ohms to 10k-ohms to be connected. In 8B38 modules, constant voltage sensor excitation is typical, with a voltage source that is accurately regulated to minimise time, temperature, and power supply voltage fluctuations.
The signal inputs and sensor excitation outputs of the 8B38 module are secured against the inadvertent connection of voltages up to 240Vrms to ensure the safety of expensive data collecting equipment. All versions are compatible with European EMC standards and are designed for use in Class I, Division 2 hazardous sites.
