The charging stations were already free and simple to use, but they will now be more effective and noticeable.
Installation will continue along the public highway in designated, cost-free, and convenient locations (near shops and busy places).

The government has been pursuing an especially alluring strategy to encourage the use of electric vehicles. The steps to do so include a purchase subsidy, free charging, a discount on season passes for public parking garages, free overground parking, and a free annual car tax sticker.
There are already over 1,000 free charging stations (for 4- and 2-wheelers) accessible in the public parking lots of the Principality to support their growing use in the car fleet.
On the roadways, there are eleven public quick-charging sites. Every Monegasque citizen lives within easy walking distance of a free, public charging station that is 300 metres away. As a result, the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles is ongoing.
