     Sports arenas at Lenoir-Rhyne University get a digital facelift thanks to Daktronics.

     

    In collaboration with Daktronics, Lenoir-Rhyne University, located in Hickory, North Carolina, has begun a digital signage makeover. The Moretz football stadium, the Shu ford basketball gym, and the Durham baseball field are all included in the project’s scope. Moretz Stadium and Shu ford Gym have just declared their completion.

     

    Two 13HD end zone LED screens that are weatherproof are installed on the football field. At each end of the basketball court are LED video monitors, and there are also three scorers’ tables. A primary weatherproof centerfield LED display is proposed for the baseball field.

     

    All displays have content management and assistance from Daktronics Creative Services as well as changeable content zoning.  In the statement, senior assistant athletic director at Lenoir-Rhyne stated, “At the forefront of all three renovations was a promise to an enhanced game-day experience and Daktronics has helped us to deliver on that pledge.

     

    The installation of these video boards and their functionality enable them to provide their spectators and student-athletes with a completely new experience on game days.
