    A carefully chosen mixture of fourth-generation polymers and “smart” silica for the tread compound, rim cushion, and carcass is said to reduce rolling resistance by 15% compared to the best-performing non-EV Vredestein all-season tyre.

     

    The tyre’s lightweight design, which includes lighter materials for the belt and cap ply and sidewalls with thinner sidewalls and lower sidewall apexes, improves vehicle efficiency as well.

     

    The tyre is appropriate for managing the increased torque and heavier vehicle weight typical of contemporary EVs since it provides superior cornering stability and a 6% improvement in handling performance compared to its all-season brothers.

     

    New asymmetric tread design, firmer tread blocks, and sturdy construction improve the handling of the Quatrac Pro EV.

     

    Numerous structural characteristics have been added expressly to handle the heavier mass of EVs and the resulting higher loads they produce during acceleration and cornering.

     

    The outside flanks of the main longitudinal grooves are significantly steeper on the outside to resist distortion as cornering forces increase, and the outside shoulder of the new tyre is larger than the inner to withstand lateral deformation.

     

    The Quatrac Pro EV is the first all-season tyre ever created to receive the HL certification, which denotes “High Load” readiness. This demonstrates that, at the same pressure, the tyre can support 10% more weight than a reinforced “Extra Load” (XL) tyre.
