Dual technology sensors are highly sensitive while still reducing the likelihood of nuisance alerts. Ultrasonic technology detects motion towards and away from the detector, whereas passive infrared technology (PIR) detects motion across the field of view.
Dual-output accelerometer and temperature sensors assess both vibration and temperature, delivering additional data from a single sensor and simplifying condition monitoring setup.A sensor turns the physical activity to be measured into an electrical counterpart and processes it so that electrical signals can be easily delivered and further processed.
The Global Dual-Head Sensor Market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
SmartRay introduces a new dual-head sensor for shadow-free scanning and maximum visibility. SmartRay, a leading developer of 3D sensors for quality inspection and metrology, has found a new solution to the problem of shadowing in 3D scanning applications.
The Dual-Head ECCO 95+ models employ a combination of SmartRay’s industry-leading cameras to ensure that all target areas of a scanned object are investigated.
Traditional single-head sensors may endure shadowing from elevated surface surfaces. Shadowing occurs when the laser strikes the target spot but is obscured from view by the camera. This can result in missing 3D data points, decreased accuracy, and uninspected areas of the sample.
The Dual-Head ECCO 95+ sensors can ensure the target region is still observed by adding a second camera operating at a symmetrical angle to the first. This is appropriate for a wide range of applications that may be affected by shadowing, but particularly automotive parts, semiconductors, and consumer electronics.
Three variants are provided, each with a varied field of vision, measurement range, and stand-off distance to ensure the best option for each application. The Dual-Head ECCO 95.010+ has a field of view of 11mm (mid), the Dual-Head ECCO 95.040+ has a field of view of 36mm (mid), and the Dual-Head ECCO 95.200+ has a field of view of 190mm (mid). They, like all ECCO 95+ 3D sensors, provide fast, ultra-high-resolution scanning and superior image quality for quality inspection and metrology.
