    Launch of the used-car e-market by Mahindra First Choice Mahindra First Choice Wheels Ltd. (MFCWL), a used car retailer, intends to open a virtual used car marketplace in January of 2019.

    “The Virtual marketplace for used cars is likely to be operational by January next year,” a source told Business Standard. It would initially be a D2D event in which First Choice registered dealers would take part.

     

    They will eventually make it available to final consumers. They intend to operate under the “clicks and mortar” business model and develop into India’s biggest online marketplace for pre-owned vehicles.

     

    Due to the existing locations, they will be able to physically transact in vehicles while also being able to sell their goods online.

     

    They hope to organise the largely unorganised used-car market through these initiatives.With 214 locations spread across 115 Indian cities, MFCWL is the nation’s favourite used car mart.

     

    In the following three years, the company wants to increase this to 500 locations.This suggests that soon, customers will be able to select from a variety of certified used cars across India, including the metropolises and tier-II towns and cities.As more and more players enter the organised used-car market, the trend is changing.
