An effort to gather, store, disseminate, and utilise technical maintenance data for aeroplanes in a digital, integrated, and task-oriented style is the Aviation Diagnostics and Maintenance ADAM System. The effort offers tools for Statistical Process Control SPC under Total Quality Management TQM concepts and is in line with DoD Computer-aided Acquisition and Logistics Support CALS direction.
Despite being focused on cutting-edge aircraft, parts of the concept are transferable to the current Naval Aviation fleet. In order to improve maintenance performance and unit readiness while lowering Life Cycle Costs LCC, ADAM consists of a maintenance system outfitted with cutting-edge hardware and software.
Through this system, all maintenance technicians and production managers will automatically have access to complete, current, and consistent data.
The Global Aircraft maintenance diagnostic systemMarket accountedfor $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
In the past, laptops and other devices that could link to aircraft computers were used by aircraft maintenance diagnostics systems to collect fault codes for each individual system. More recently, however, the technology has advanced to allow for better maintenance planning and greater data integration.
The central maintenance computer offered diagnostics, troubleshooting, and return-to-service capabilities starting with the Gulfstream G450 and G550. These days, Gulfstream aircraft come with cutting-edge, complete health and trend monitoring systems.
Early in the new century, every production Dassault Falcon aircraft received the EASy avionics suite, which included a Centralised Maintenance Computer (CMC) that enabled aggregation of maintenance diagnostics at the aircraft level using data from all systems.
Onboard maintenance systems (OMS) offer a model-based diagnostic method. It provides original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and aviation operators with speedier aircraft turnaround times and lower production and lifecycle costs.
OMS run on Honeywell avionics systems and are generally software-based. Their main job is to promptly and effectively diagnose problems while keeping an eye on the aircraft's condition (via our aircraft condition monitoring tool).
