In order to safeguard components and machinery from current overload and short circuit circumstances, thermal circuit breakers are resettable circuit protection devices.

GLOBAL AIRCRAFT THERMAL CIRCUIT BREAKER MARKET SIZE AND FORECAST

The global aircraft thermal circuit breaker market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2030.

    NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

KLIXON  6752-12 series thermal-magnetic circuit breakers were introduced by Sensata Technology. They were created to meet the more exacting military regulations for aircraft electrical systems.

The 6752-12 series outperforms earlier military specifications in terms of interrupting capacity, vibration resistance, and longer cycling life. The 6752-12 series also offers options for auxiliary circuits, ambient compensation, and fault coordination across all ratings.

Trip-free design, single-phase, ambient compensation, MIL-DTL-27715 qualification, 20,000 operating cycles of trouble-free operation, high vibration resistance, high interrupting capacity, option for auxiliary circuits, and temperature-independent circuit protection (ambient compensated from -53.9°C to 93.3°C) are among the features. Only faulty line circuits were activated (coordination ratings ensure that, in the event of a breakdown, branch circuit breakers trip first).

Trip-Free 28 VDC ARC Fault Circuit Breaker (AFCB), Aircraft AS6019 .This specification’s main purpose is to outline the general specifications for 28 VDC manual reset trip-free arc fault/thermal circuit breakers used in MIL-STD-704-compliant aircraft electrical systems.

This specification may also serve the secondary purpose of defining the general requirements for AFCBs used in primary vehicles other than airplanes when directly mounted to the structure.

The E-T-A 4930, a new remotely controlled, single pole circuit breaker (RCCB) authorised to MIL-PRF-83383 for the protection of aviation electrical systems and other high performance applications, has been introduced by E-T-A Circuit Breakers.

The use of a conventional, manually operated aircraft-style thermal circuit breaker, such as the E-T-A types 4120 or 483, allows for low current remote switching, allowing the 4930 to be placed close to the system it is protecting while also significantly reducing the need for wiring harnesses and weight.

To switch the contacts, the E-T-A 4930 uses an integrated bi-stable linear motor. It will synchronise with the 4120/483 circuit breaker and reflect the status of the controlling circuit breaker in terms of ON/OFF status.

The new E-T-A 4930 Remote Control Circuit Breaker can be ordered with or without auxiliary contacts that can provide external signalling, and it is available in a range of current ratings from 5A to 100A. It has a bi-metal actuator that trips the mechanism in a predetermined amount of time under overcurrent situations, making it temperature compensated.
