ALL ALUMINIUM ALLOY CONDUCTORS (AAAC) MARKET

INTRODUCTION

All Aluminium Allloy Conductors (AAAC): These are made out of high strength Aluminium-Magnesium-Silicon alloy. As compared to conventional ACSR, AAAC are of lighter weight, comparable strength & current carrying capacity, lower electrical losses and superior corrosion resistance.

As compared to conventional ACSR, AAAC are of lighter weight, comparable strength & current carrying capacity, lower electrical losses and superior corrosion resistance, This has given AAAC a wide acceptance in the distribution and transmission lines.

It offers easier handling during installation and use of simpler fittings. The wire is corrosion resistant due to its homogeneous construction.

AAAC has large mechanical resistance than AAC which permits its use as a bare overhead conductor on aerial circuits for power transmission and distribution lines. It also has better sag characteristics and strength to weight ratio as compared to AAC.

AAC, AAAC, ACSR form part of the family of Overhead Conductors, Transmission Conductors and Power Distribution Conductors. These cables are formally known as All Aluminium Conductor (AAC), All Aluminium Alloy Conductor (AAAC) and Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR).

Midal cables All Aluminium Alloy Conductors (AAAC) - Concentric lay stranded Aluminium Alloy Conductors (AAAC) are made out of high strength Aluminium-Magnesium-Silicon Alloy.

Midal manufactures and supply AAAC with different variants of electrical grade alloy type 6101 and 6201. one or more strands of hard drawn 1350 aluminium alloy.

These conductors are designed to get better strength to weight ratio and offer improved electrical properties, excellent sag-tension characteristics, and superior corrosion resistance when compared with ACSR.

As compared to a conventional ACSR conductor, the lighter weight, comparable strength & current carrying capacity, lower electrical losses and superior corrosion resistance have given AAAC a wide acceptance in the distribution and medium & high voltage transmission lines..Midal can manufacture & supply AAAC on Non returnable wooden/steel reels or Returnable steel reels.
