AUTOMOTIVE CAMERA CHIPS MARKET

INTRODUCTION

The automotive camera is a rear-view device that makes reversing simpler by keeping track of a real-time image of the area and suggesting a steering angle for the wheel turn.

A camera that automatically adjusts the lens aperture, shutter speed, or both to the lighting conditions mostly used to assist the driver with parking, manoeuvring, and performance evaluation

AUTOMOTIVE CAMERA CHIPS MARKETNEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

Ambarella, a semiconductor manufacturer, has unveiled two new chips for ADAS and automotive cameras based on their CVflow artificial intelligence processing architecture.

The CV22FS and CV2FS automotive camera system-on-chips (SoCs) with CVflow AI processing and ASIL-B compliance were presented by the Santa Clara, California-based business to support safety-critical applications.

In addition, Ambarella will demonstrate applications using its current chips, a robotics platform, and Amazon SageMaker Neo technology for developing machine-learning models.

Both of the new chips are intended for use in computer vision ECUs for Level 2+ and higher levels of autonomy for self-driving cars as well as forward-facing monocular and stereo vision ADAS cameras.

The CV22FS and CV2FS have extremely low power consumption, allowing automakers to achieve performance demands while staying under the power limits of single-box, windshield-mounted forward ADAS cameras.

The processors might also be used in interior driver and cabin monitoring cameras, around view monitors (AVM) with parking assistance, and electronic mirrors with blind-spot detection (BSD).

The two brand-new SoCs are the most recent additions to Ambarella's well-known CVflow SoC family, which gives automotive firms and software development partners an open platform for distinctive, high-performance automotive systems.

Ambarella and ZF are collaborating on seeing and sensing systems. ZF is a major supplier of systems for automobiles worldwide, including both passenger cars and commercial trucks.

According to a statement from Aaron Jefferson, vice president of ADAS product planning at ZF, the businesses are developing surround view, e-mirror, and computer vision technologies.
