A latching mechanism is a security feature that prevents illegal access to different areas. The locks safeguard against theft and are an important aspect of vehicle safety since they allow for a quick departure in an emergency. Lock cylinders with keys or remote control devices (fobs), steering column locks, door locks, and trunk lid stays are examples of modern automobile locks.
Modern systems also include immobilisers, which prevent the engine from starting without a key. This can be accomplished electronically by sensing if a key is present inside the ignition switch, or mechanically by removing contact between the starter solenoid coil and distributor cap terminals before cranking.
The Global Automotive Latching Systems Market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2026, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2027.
The G5RL-K-EL latching relay from Omron Electronic Components Europe is designed for superior inrush performance and capacitive load management in smart building automation systems. With an innovative single contact construction, the new low-profile power relay is a very competitive alternative for controlling fluorescent and LED bulbs.
The new 16A G5RL-K-EL latching type relay is IEC60669-1 certified and has a high inrush current capacity of up to 255A, making it perfect for demanding switching applications with a wide range of loads. The appliance complies with the International Safety Standard for Electrical and Electronic Household Appliances. There is no hold current to keep the relay open, hence the latching design saves energy.
