The car rally continued from Gobustan to the Hybrid Power Station with the goal of encouraging the adoption of environmentally friendly vehicles.
The participants in this demonstration saw a presentation that covered topics like how much of the energy sector’s carbon emissions are attributable to other sectors, how to reduce emissions into the atmosphere, how to produce electricity with less conventional fuel, how to use renewable energy sources, and more.
Around 150 electric vehicles were imported into Azerbaijan in the first half of the year, which is a 4 times increase over the same period last year. Despite this, barely 0.5% of the nation’s imported cars are electric vehicles.
