    Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), a beverage firm with headquarters in Belgium, has introduced new environmentally friendly Barley-based packaging for its well-known Corona beer brand.The plan makes a paperboard for packaging out of leftover barley straw from farmers’ harvests.


    The straw is blended with entirely recycled wood fibres to create the packaging in a special pulping procedure that takes into account the relative fragility of the straw.


    AB InBev employed the technologies and procedures that its Global Innovation and technologies Centre (GITEC) had been creating over the previous three years for this design.According to the firm, the packaging is more environmentally friendly while being just as robust and long-lasting as a typical six-pack.


    Their  desire for everyone to be able to continue enjoying paradise is what drives us to pursue our vision of becoming a sustainability leader in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector.they evaluated where they  might make adjustments inside their production and supply chains to actually make an impact, starting with their own packaging.


    They are pleased to announce this initial step in reimagining packaging for the future in their sector.The packaging is now undergoing a trial in Colombia, where Corona six-packs have been distributed with it. Later this year, it is scheduled to debut in Argentina.Once the trials are over, AB InBev will also think about implementing the technology across additional brands.
