    GLOBAL BLUETOOTH THERMOGRAPHIC SENSOR MARKET

    INTRODUCTION

Thermography is the application of point radiation thermometry to create one-dimensional profiles or two-dimensional images of non-contact temperature data.

Thermal sensors can be found in everything from kettles to refrigerators, microwaves, and water heaters. Non-contact thermal sensors have been used to monitor temperatures throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Medical systems, food processors, boilers, and petrochemical systems all use thermal sensors.

There are many different types of thermal sensors, each with a different level of responsiveness and accuracy due to their wide range of applications. Let’s look at some of the most common types of thermal sensors and how important they are in electronics.

Thermal processes, such as melting, forming, and drying, are used in many industries for material engineering. Because processing temperatures can be high, it is critical to monitor cooling after heating so that the next steps in the process or storage can take place safely.

Indeed, a high temperature can make following procedural steps difficult. Furthermore, it is a problem for storage because it may cause a fire, which would halt production, damage products, and even cause factory damage.

    NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

Teledyne FLIR, a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, has introduced the FLIR ONE Edge Pro, a mobile thermal-visible camera.

Unlike previous models, the reimagined FLIR ONE Edge Pro does not require physical connection to its companion mobile device, nor does it have separate models for different operating systems, allowing for maximum flexibility in thermal inspections.

One of the two sensors that was tested was the T.I. SimpleLinkTM SensorTag. This sensor  is significantly different from the others. The sensor appeared to be aimed at developers and those looking to test and prototype IoT devices, rather than consumers.

The Blue-T is weatherproof, with an IP-67 rating (waterproof to 1 meter). And, assuming you’ve purchased the floating lanyard accessory, you can actually leave it in water.

On the downside, this sensor’s reviews are fairly average, with an average 3-star rating on Amazon. The reviews influenced our decision not to purchase the myBlue-T sensor for testing, but they were not the only reason.
