A memorandum of cooperation between the state-owned Electricity System Operator (ESO) and a number of stakeholders states that Bulgaria should acquire adequate charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
The agreement was signed by ESO, the operator of the country's power transmission system, the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Branch Chamber of Power Engineers (BBCE), the Bulgarian Electric Vehicles Association (BAEPS), the Electric Vehicles Industrial Cluster Elektromobili (IKEM), and the Bulgarian Electric Vehicle Owners Association (ASEB).
According to ESO's predictions, the widespread adoption of electric vehicles will result in a threefold decrease in the annual energy consumption of all road vehicles in Bulgaria, which is currently 45 TWh.The accomplices said they would trade data on the condition of the foundation, need for areas and limit, choice by public and metropolitan specialists and the monetary evaluations.
Creating a nationwide network of chargers powered by green electricity will encourage the use of renewable energy sources and environmentally friendly modes of transportation, even in communities located far from major roads.
The Bulgaria EV Charger Market Accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2030.
In Bulgaria, EVPoint manages a network of charging stations. The company decided to use AMPECO.CHARGE, a charge-point management solution from AMPECO, to manage their charging infrastructure and give customers an easy way to find and use their charging stations.
AMPECO included a local payment gateway for EVPoint. In addition, we helped to define EVPoint's strategy and operational procedures and provided consulting services.
Drivers use the mobile app of EVPoint not only to access the company's own charging stations but also to find and learn about other charge-point locations.
Currently, Vestel, Etrel, and LeGrand charging stations serve EVPoint's AC charging locations, while ABB, Efacec, and Setec chargers are planned for DC stations.
EVPoint's business model involves not only owning a portion of the infrastructure, but also giving other parties the chance to include their existing or newly installed charging stations in the network of EVPoint. This gives them the chance to collect payments, participate in roaming with third-party operators, and other options.
EVPoint offers charging stations, EV charging accessories, installation, and consulting services in addition to operating a charge-point network.
