INTRODUCTION
In order to transport, save, and protect life across the most difficult situations on earth, hovercraft are utilised for rescue operations as well as commercial, military, and paramilitary purposes. The amphibious platforms known as hovercraft can be customised to meet the unique needs of each user.
a vehicle that is raised above the surface of land or water by an air cushion created by fans that are pointed downward. The hovercraft’s fundamental tenet is that when an object is moved from the ground using air, less force is needed to do so. The surface tension will decrease since the object is not in contact with the earth. As a result, moving the object is simple.

NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH
The newest hovercraft model is introduced by Griffon Hoverwork in Chile. At the main naval and marine exposition in Latin America, Exponaval, taking place in Valparaiso, Chile from December 4–7, Griffon Hoverwork, the world’s top hovercraft manufacturer, will officially introduce its new 995ED model.
A few weeks after delivering the first 995ED model to the Malaysian Marine Department for use in coast guard duties, the Griffon delegation led the launch.
Griffon is extremely pleased to introduce the highly creative 995ED, which completes its line of marine grade aluminium hovercraft and is specifically built for search and rescue, coast guard, and surveying duties.
“The 995ED is the first hovercraft to acquire certification against the UK Hovercraft Code and is perfectly suited to the needs of Chilean and South American topography and climate, measuring eight metres (m) in length and travelling at 30 knots at full “all up weight.”
They are happy to inform that the Griffon shipyard in Southampton is well along with building a second 995ED, which will be delivered next year and used as a tender for a luxury client, showing the need for a British manufactured, custom search and rescue hovercraft.”
Griffon has supplied a variety of hovercraft to South American navies and coastguards for a number of years, particularly to Peru and Columbia. They thus have a thorough understanding of the needs of the South American coastline and inland waterways. In the very hot and freezing temperatures of South America, hovercraft like the 995ED can perform crucially better than regular patrol boats and RIBs.
