In fully-hybrid and battery-electric vehicles, the traction motor for electric vehicles (EVs) is mounted (BEVs). Due to their zero emissions and great fuel economy at steadily decreasing prices, BEVs and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) are quickly gaining ground in the worldwide car industry.
The market demand for EV traction motors has increased due to their attractive operating conditions and outstanding characteristics. High power conversion, high efficiency, silent operation, the capacity to function in challenging environments, and many other appealing attributes are some of its anticipated market-boosters.
The China EV Traction Motor Market accounted for $XX Billion in 2023 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2024 to 2030.
In Pinghu, Zhejiang Province, China, Nidec Corporation will construct a flagship facility to manufacture its E-Axle traction motor system. The upcoming factory will be the fourth E-Axle assembly facility and fifth traction motor-related production facility for Nidec in China.
With a maximum annual production capacity of one million units, the facility will serve as Nidec’s “flagship factory” for its E-Axle business. In addition to assembling and producing E-Axle units, it will also function as an EV-dedicated plant that consolidates the Nidec Group’s component businesses (such as inverters and gears).
The new Han EV’s maximum cruising range has increased from 605 kilometers on the present model to 715 kilometers on the future generation.
Additionally, it appears that the Chinese automaker is also preparing to introduce a different model with a cruising range of 610 kilometers. However, both of the newest models will come with an 85.44KWh battery pack.
Dual motors, one in the front and one in the back, are included with the model with the 610-kilometer range. The latter features a 200kW motor and a 350N.M peak torque, while the former has a maximum power of 180kW.
The 715-kilometer range variant, on the other hand, only has a single front motor with a maximum power of 180kW and a maximum torque of 350N.M.
