The Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Transports have issued a law that applies to imported used cars.The age restriction and restrictions for used cars imported into the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) are set forth in a decree that is implemented by the DRC government.
Imported second-hand cars (below 10 seats) must be fewer than 10 years old, and they must also meet certain other requirements.
Additionally, before loading at the port of origin, importers must furnish the following documentation for customs clearance:original or certified copy of the car registration document,a certificate of legal conveyance,original vehicle inspection report or a certified copy of the nation of origin.
The imported vehicles will either be destroyed or exported again at cargo costs if they don’t follow this decree.This law applies to all of the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s territory as well as the entry points into East and West Africa.
