Equipment used to move, store, control, and protect materials, goods, and products during the production, distribution, consumption, and disposal processes is known as material handling equipment (MHE).
Transport equipment, positioning equipment, unit load formation equipment, and storage equipment are the four broad categories into which the many types of equipment can be divided.
Continuous tracked machines called “crawler dozers” have blades attached in the front that can be used to push or transport bulk materials including soil, sand, and debris.
A ripper is an implement used to split and loosen compacted materials that is fastened to the back of a crawler dozer. Engine power ranges from 45 to over 700 horsepower in crawler dozers.
The Global Crawler material handling equipment market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
New crawler excavators from Liebherr are part of the Generation 8 series. The newest member of the Generation 8 series, the R 928 Generation 8 crawler excavator, has been introduced by Liebherr.
Liebherr-France SAS in Colmar created and constructed the new model R 928 G8 crawler excavator. The new model, which sits between the R 926 G8 and the R 930 G8, completes the existing Generation 8 series, which already has seven versions with gross vehicle weights ranging from 22 to 45 tonnes.
The Generation 8’s modularity made it easier to introduce this new model because it was built using high-performing, already-in-use components. The transport issues faced by numerous clients are intended to be greatly reduced by this new, weight-optimised combination.
The R 928 G8 has a number of characteristics with the R 926 G8 and R 930 G8, including the superstructure and equipment that are shared with the R 926 G8 and the LC or NLC undercarriage that are shared with the R 930 G8. Between the R 926 G8 and the R 930 G8, it performs similarly.
The Generation 8 crawler excavator line is currently completed by the R 928 G8 model. According to the manufacturer, the excavator has a huge bucket, a high drawbar pull, and a load-bearing capability.
In comparison to the preceding generation, Generation 8 creates stronger tear and breakout pressures, claims Liebherr. Additionally, the superstructure’s torque has grown.
This indicates that under site conditions, the new crawler excavators may perform at higher levels. Additionally, a new equipment idea makes it possible to optimise the load curve and increase the rotary drive’s inertia, both of which lower fuel consumption.
The more stable, new X-form undercarriages provide more stability. The machines’ productivity is increased and the parts’ service life is extended thanks to the automatic central lubrication.
