Contrary to its neighbor Norway, where new EV sales recently reached a market share of over 75%, Denmark’s adoption of EVs has not yet reached its full potential.
Currently, there are only about a few thousands of plug-in vehicles on Danish roads, as a result of tax incentives, falling battery prices, and the introduction of a wider range of EV models.
The DCCC lists a lack of adequate charging infrastructure as another major obstacle to the adoption of EVs in Denmark, noting that there are now only few thousands of public charging points available across the entire nation.
The paper urges the government to legislate equitable pricing and access to EV charging regardless of dwelling type, as well as to foster a transparent and competitive market for EV charging. Frameworks are also required to guarantee the deployment of EV charging infrastructure and the development of the electric grid required to support it.
The Denmark Electric vehicle market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2030.
A brand-new Danish company named ECOmove is working to design, manufacture, and market cars that are both safe and environmentally beneficial.
The firm, which was founded in the spring by Mikkel Steen Pedersen, the designer of the RoadRazer sportscar, has just revealed the first information about its debut offering: an open-top, three-seater electric car with a centered driving position. Its moniker is QBEAK.
The vehicle is built on a flexible framework with motors and batteries. There isn’t a lot of information currently available about the car’s technical characteristics, although it is stated that its claimed driving range is roughly 250 kilometers.
By the same year, up to millions of hybrid and electric vehicles are expected to be driving in Denmark. More than millions of tonnes less greenhouse gas emissions are anticipated as a result. Denmark wants to increase taxes and fees on fossil-fuel vehicles based on how much CO2 they release in order to reach that electric vehicle objective.
