A yacht or boat with two hulls that are parallel to one another is called a catamaran. It is much more stable than a monohull boat and has a broad base that is supported by the two equally spaced hulls.
The majority of people typically use them for leisure activities like travelling on cruises or fishing expeditions. In contrast, bigger vessels like yachts or catamarans typically have both a DC power system and a residential electrical system. These crafts will require AC power to operate at full capacity.
The Global Electric Catamaran market accounted for $XX Billion in 2023 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2024 to 2030.
ELECTRIC CATAMARAN MARKET NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH
The first Quiet 60 electric catamaran was just launched by Silent Yachts from its new shipyard in Italy. The Austrian company, which started constructing boats, has been building them since 2009. The Fano complex, which covers more than five acres, includes four enormous sheds where almost 200 people work on the concepts created by Quiet.
A Quiet 60 made its debut as the first cat in Italy. This model, which is continually changing, is the best for zero-emission sailing. 42 solar panels that have a maximum output of 16 kWp are installed on the roof. The onboard battery has solar energy that can be used for propulsion or to supply the hotel's electrical needs.
This model has a high-performance hull with a long waterline and a reverse bow. It is powered by two 250 kW electric motors, which allow it to cruise between six and eight knots and reach a top speed of 14 knots. Silence claims that the cat will be able to sail for weeks on end entirely on solar power for up to 100 nautical miles every day.
Moreover, with a draught of about three feet, it can enter shallow waters. The yacht has a large, open flybridge, a roomy aft cockpit, a pleasant bow deck, and a light-filled main salon. They will find three cosy guest cabins and a lavish owner's suite on the lower deck.
The stern of the boat has two swimming platforms that can each hold a pair of electric Jet Skis, as well as a hydraulic platform that can hold a 13-foot tender.
