A mobile crane is a cable-controlled crane mounted on crawlers or rubber-tired carriers. A hydraulically powered crane with a telescoping boom mounted on truck-type carriers or as self-propelled models are examples of mobile cranes.
Typically, mobile cranes have a boom from which a hook is suspended via wire rope and sheaves. Internal combustion engines, electric motors, and steam engines have all been employed.
Transmissions on older cranes tended to be clutches. Later employing IC engines, this was changed by the addition of a hydrokinetic component, leading to controlled torque converters, to match the steam engines’ “peak torque at zero speed” characteristic.
The Global Electric mobile crane market accounted for $XX Billion in 2023 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2024 to 2030.
The brand-new V 110 R Electric Mobile Crane, which is battery-operated and remote controlled, has just been introduced by Manitex Valla of Italy, a subsidiary of Manitex International, a US-based company.
With a capacity of up to 11,000 kg and a lifting height of up to 10.4 metres, the electric V110R is targeted at the most demanding markets, which need a machine that is easy to manoeuvre while also having excellent performance and a very high level of security.
The machine is a follow-up to the launched V 80 R, with front wheel drive and removable counter weights to maximise transport flexibility.
The new V110R’s technical features, which include a hydraulic system, 180-degree rear steering, electro-hydraulic brakes, and an on-board charger, among others, make it a machine with a lot of potential on a medium-sized scale.
