The examination of electrokinetic effects at the solid/liquid interface for solids of nearly all shapes and sizes is made possible by the Electro Kinetic Analyzer. The zeta potential provides information about the charge and adsorption characteristics of different surfaces.
Zeta potential for samples in the form of membranes or granular materials can be measured with this electrokinetic analyzer. A week or more of cleanup time is typically needed after running granular samples. Small particles that may come off the granules are to blame for this.
A family of numerous diverse effects known as electrokinetic phenomena can take place in heterogeneous fluids, porous bodies that are filled with fluid, or in rapid flow over a flat surface. In this context, heterogeneous refers to a fluid with particles.
By passing an electrical current over electrode pairs that have been inserted into the ground on either side of the contaminated soil mass, electrokinetic extraction is carried out. The current induces electro-osmosis of the pore water as well as electromigration of metal ions toward the electrodes. When subjected to an electric field, a few specific macromolecules with an imbalanced electric charge migrate in a process known as electrophoresis.
The Global electrokinetic analyzer market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
Elinor Pharmaceuticals Private Limited The SurPASS measures the zeta potential by using electrokinetics, in this case the flow of an electrolyte solution over a sample, to ascertain the surface charge of the sample. For a schematic of the cell structure, see the image below.
The ions interact with the charged sample surface as the electrolyte solution flows past it, creating two layers of ions: one that is attracted to the surface and the other that is repulsed by it.
The device senses this charge disparity (potential difference) using electrodes attached next to the sample cell and uses the reading, along with other well-known electrolyte and flow process characteristics, to determine zeta potential.
