Equipment used to transmit energy between the delivery point and the building’s mechanical system is referred to as a “energy transfer station” and includes pipes for supply and return water, valves, controllers, energy metres, and heat pumps. The key to both the district energy network and the building installation operating efficiently in terms of energy use is a well-functioning energy transfer station.
The district energy system must be able to supply the energy transfer station with enough flow, temperature, and differential pressure for it to meet the demands of the energy user in order for it to operate at peak efficiency.
The Global Energy transfer station market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
Pumping energy transfer station was developed by Abdelmoumen. The construction of this new station will improve Morocco’s development of renewable energy sources and strengthen its energy independence. At the Abdelmoumen construction site, two water reservoirs at various altitudes are being built, and in the middle of them, at a low spot, is a powerhouse with reversible pump-turbines.
In order to reach the lower reservoir, a waterway will be filled with water from the top reservoir. Between the two reservoirs along the river, the 350MW hydroelectric project will be built. Two water storage basins, each with a volume of 1.3 Mm3, were built as part of the production facility, which was built on a hillside and buried with two reversible groups.
A 3 km transfer line, including 1 km underground, was also built over a natural height difference of about 550 metres. This facility will store electricity and have a very high efficiency of energy delivery within a short period of time. The implementation of the penstock was lauded as using the wet-laid fibre shotcrete technology.
