    The design of the packaging allows for the individual removal of each half of an avocado, maximising the shelf life of the remaining fruit.Halls also mentioned that because of prior negative experiences, “an untold number” of prospective customers are deterred from ever buying avocados. All of this adds to the global food waste crisis that the UN has called attention to.

     

    According to estimates, every year, almost half of the fruits and vegetables produced worldwide are thrown away.In the ideal world, there would be no wasted avocado and customers would consistently enjoy the ideal avocado experience.The product is packaged entirely of recyclable materials and is being sold with the slogan “Nothing to hide, nothing to waste.”
