    PEUGEOT Cycles will increase the selection of electric bicycles it offers with several fresh, cutting-edge models that take advantage of the most recent connected technologies. Adaptive electrical assistance, an anti-theft system, an alarm, bike geolocation, real-time navigation, destination weather forecasts, and route data are just a few of the features that these launch give users via a new specialised smartphone application.

     

    The three versions of connected electric bikes that PEUGEOT Cycles will introduce are Electronic city bikes. A longtail cargo bike, also known as a digital e-longtail, is a bicycle with an extended rear end that can easily carry a load or up to two children, making it ideal for families. A front-load cargo bike (Digital e-Front Load) is a bicycle with an expanded front wheelbase that can fit a body to carry up to three children or large objects.

     

    The addition of the new line of cargo bikes broadens PEUGEOT Cycles’ selection of electric vehicles to better satisfy the demands of an increasing number of consumers, including families living in cities where bicycle-friendly infrastructure (bike lanes, parking spaces, etc.) is being built out.

     

    Companies of all sizes, from the craftsperson who turns a two-carrier cargo bike into a new work tool to logistics firms looking for a complementing and competitive offer of light vehicles tailored for last-mile delivery. The start-up Beweel will design and produce the new linked electric bikes that target B2C and B2B markets.

     

    The primary dealer networks of Cycleurope Industries will provide the whole Peugeot Cycles line as a result of its expansion. For its part, Beweel will use its distribution networks to advertise the three new linked bicycle models. New electric scooters and electric bike models have been introduced by Yamaha Europe.  Also unveiled by Yamaha was the eagerly anticipated, production-ready electric NEO scooter.

When it comes to the two concepts, the E01 is unmistakably a contemporary scooter design, but it has a significantly different appearance than its combustion Yamaha Europe counterparts, the TMAX, XMAX, NMAX, and D’elight.

     

    It was intended to be a cousin, with a family resemblance to indicate that they are connected but with their own unique identity still intact. Having a ridesharing experiment in an unnamed large European city is the plan for the E01, Yamaha Motor. Two things will result from that. Users in that city will be the first to utilise the new scooter because Yamaha wants to learn more about what urban riders desire from a 125cc-equivalent electric scooter.

     

    This trial is not yet scheduled, although it is most likely to take place at some point. The fact that Yamaha is referring to it as the B01 idea sets it apart from the E0-something naming scheme it has so far developed for its electric scooters. But there’s a little more going on here.

     

    E-BIKE REGULATIONS IN EUROPE

    The legal maximum assisted speed for eBikes in the EU and the UK is 25 kph. E-bikes are still permitted to provide electrical assistance above this speed, but riders are not permitted to pedal them faster.

     

    Some bicycles can even be charged while you are pedaling.  The EU and UK laws now specify that an electric bicycle must have a motor with a continuous rated power output of 250W or less to be categorized as an “eBike” or Pedelec. In the UK or the EU, there is no specific license needed to operate an e-bike that satisfies the requirements of a standard pedelec.

     

    However, e-bike riders in the UK must be 14 years of age or older. You need a license and the bike needs to be registered as an electric vehicle to ride speed pedelecs or more potent freight e-Bikes. There will typically be some sort of road tax.

     

    EUROPE E-BIKE MARKET RECENT DEVELOPMENT

The two Eco variants and the Adventure cycle have a chain drive, making them the less expensive models.  With no rear rack or mudguards, the entry-level Eco Naked is the most basic model in the line and is also the lightest at 23 kg (about 51 lbs).

    Two new versions of city-focused commuter motorcycles from electric motorbike manufacturer Super Soco are now available for everyday commuting and brief excursions. The cost of both bikes is GBP 3799. 

     

    The Super Soco TS Street Hunter and TC Wanderer are both constructed on the same platform and have an electric motor located in the back hub that has a stated top speed. Each bike has a single replaceable battery that, according to the manufacturer, can be fully recharged using a regular household power outlet in just 3.5 hours.

     

    Although the Super Soco TS Hunter is a sporty roadster with an angular and aggressive look, its performance is anything but sporty according to the specifications. The Street Hunter comes in four colours: Storm Grey, Black, Platinum White, and Charcoal Blue. It has wheels on the front and back. On a single charge, the TS Hunter is said to have a range of just about 60 kilometres.

     

    The Super Soco TC Wanderer features a raised handlebar, a round LED headlight, block-pattern tyres, and a retro-inspired look that is more reminiscent of a scrambler. 

     

    Ceramic Blue, Vintage Green, or Stormy Grey are the three colours that are offered for the Wanderer. A second battery that extends the TC Wanderer’s range on a single charge is available. 

     

    Two more models from the German company Gudereit have been added to the increasing roster of urban electric bikes. The new ET-13.5 Evo and ET-12.5 Evo, a pair of step-through electric bicycles with some outstanding innovation and features, were just released in the UK. 

     

    Starting things off is the Gudereit ET-13.5 Evo commuter e-bike, which has a Neodrive Z20 rear hub motor and a Pinion 12-speed transmission with a 28 lb-ft (40 nm) torque rating. Gates Carbon Drive belt, which is silent and requires no maintenance, transmits power to the back wheel.

     

    Pinion’s gearboxes are renowned for their durability because they are weatherproof and can go a long way before needing maintenance. Additionally, they provide accurate shifts even when the vehicle is under load or at a standstill. The Neodrive motor on the bike is also quite impressive. 

     

    The downtube of the ET-13.5 Evo from Gudereit houses a 7725-watt-hour battery pack, which is fairly substantial. The battery pack on the ET-13.5 Evo is larger than those found on many other e-bikes, so we can expect quite a deal of range from this bike, especially if your journeys are limited to urban areas, even though the brand doesn’t offer any claimed range estimates. 

     

    The ET-13.5 Evo also has a Cane Creek Thudbuster Seatpost for enhanced comfort and an SR Suntour Raidon suspension fork. Additionally, Supernova’s strong lights assure your visibility to other motorists and brighten the road in front of you. 

     

    If you think this cost is a bit excessive, the less expensive ET-12.5 Evo might be a better fit for your requirements. It does bring some amazing technology to the table, such as the tried-and-true Gates CDX belt drive and the Bosch Performance Line CX motor.
