Coperion has announced that a new recycling test lab is being built at its Niederbiegen/Weingarten, Germany, production location. The location of the Recycling Innovation Center will be next to Coperion’s current Bulk Solids Handling test facility, increasing the company’s test lab capacity in Germany alone to 5,000 m2.
Coperion, which currently produces a wide variety of equipment and procedures for recycling applications, has chosen to respond by additionally providing customers with concrete support in the shape of a dedicated test lab as the need for effective plastics recycling solutions gradually increases.
Here, with the help of clients from around the world, real approaches to solutions for every stage of the recycling process will be tested and developed.
Customers will be able to use the expertise offered by Coperion to create and test new, sustainable goods and recycling processes at the new Recycling Innovation Centre.
All necessary recycling process phases, such as material transportation, feeding, extrusion, pelletizing, and material post processing, will be handled by the facility, which will be fully prepared to do so. The amenities at the Centre will allow Coperion to advance its own research into plastics recycling in addition to serving the demands of its clients.
