RECENT ACQUISITION IN EUROPE WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT MARKET

Turvo Inc., a prominent provider of supply chain management, collaboration, and visibility software, has been acquired by Lineage Logistics, LLC, the world’s largest and most advanced temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions provider.

The acquisition builds on the firms’ long-standing alliance – which includes Lineage Ventures’ earlier investment in Turvo – and shared goal for supply chain collaboration.

Turvo, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Lineage, will continue to focus on its customers, accelerate innovation in its technology offering, and grow into new and adjacent areas under its own brand.

Turvo’s acquisition by Lineage was a natural extension of their cooperation, which saw Lineage LinkTM introduced successfully. They enthusiastically support Turvo’s aim of increasing supply chain visibility and synergies, and see this as a chance to offer value for both Lineage and Turvo clients.

They are excited to lead the new Turvo Board of Directors and collaborate with the company’s leadership to promote the company’s vision to smarter, more sustainable supply chains.

Turvo will accelerate innovation with far broader reach and scale than ever before, furthering supply chain digitization internationally, thanks to the support of Lineage and Bay Grove. Greater expenditures in vision and technology will benefit customers.

The purchase comes at a time when transportation and warehousing are in high demand, and the supply chain is facing unprecedented hurdles.

They have a unique chance to mitigate the effect of those difficulties for clients by partnering with Turvo. Reduce the number of trucks or containers required to convey a product from farm to fork, for example, to alleviate driver shortages and port congestion. Turvo’s platform connects customers with underutilised trucking, rail, and container assets.

    NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

LIS Logistische Informationssysteme AG (LIS) is introducing LIS Warehouse Management as part of an expansion of its product line (LWM).

Regardless of the sector they serve, the cloud-based Warehouse Management System (WMS) organises the internal material flow of warehouses and distribution centres for European Third Party Logistics (3PL) providers.

With an end device connected to the internet, a variety of processes, including incoming and outgoing items, inventory and capacity management, or order picking, may be watched and flexibly controlled in real time via the data cloud.

The software company, formerly known for its transport management system (TMS), WinSped, now aims to provide its clients with comprehensive solutions from a single source.

Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) options for the warehouse management programme include full integration with the WinSped package and standalone use. Appropriate converters and interfaces make it simple to connect to and integrate into external IT ecosystems.

The leading omnifulfillment platform, ShipBob, has introduced its Merchant Plus solution, a stand-alone warehouse management system (WMS) that enables independent merchants with their own warehouse to manage fulfilment operations independently while still utilising ShipBob’s extensive global network.

This solution, which was developed by ShipBob, gives users access to its carrier network, support staff, fulfilment specialists, and all-inclusive platform—a full set of tools for managing their supply chains—while utilising ShipBob’s extensive network of warehouses in the United States, Europe, Australia, and Canada.

The introduction of QuickStart for Cold Chain was announced by international WMS expert Indigo Software. The new rapid ROI WMS Program from Indigo Software is made to help companies in the cold chain industry swiftly alter their warehouse operations, address pressing issues, and generate a return on investment.

The solution provided by Indigo Software benefits cold chain warehouse operations in four key ways: it increases cold store safety for chilled/frozen foods while decreasing waste, enhances product traceability and keeps track of each stock movement’s associated temperatures, and increases space utilisation by 30% in areas where space is at a premium.
