EV Fluoropolymer Chassis Market
INTRODUCTION
A fluoropolymer is a polymer that is based in fluorocarbon and has strong carbon-fluoride bonds. But that doesn’t explain much if you don’t know what a polymer is.
A polymer is a chemical compound that is made of many molecules that have low mass. A polymer is a huge class of compounds; it includes both synthetics, like plastic, and also naturally occurring polymers like wool, silk, and rubber. A fluoropolymer is a more specific type of a polymer that has special properties.
fluoropolymer is a chemical compound that contains many strong carbon-fluoride bonds. The fluorine in a fluoropolymer is electrically negative, which gives it the property of not bonding easily with other materials. That’s what makes a fluoropolymer non-stick.
A fluoropolymer is an umbrella term, and it includes many other products with trade names that you may have heard of, including Teflon , Excalibur, Algoflon, Xylan, Solef, and Fluon. The first fluoropolymers was developed in the 1930s, but hundreds of variations now exist.
EV FLUOROPOLYMER CHASSIS MARKET SIZE AND FORECAST
Global fluoropolymer chassis market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH
Honeywell launches fluoropolymer resin for protective coating applications. Honeywell announced today, January 5, the launch of a fluoropolymer resin designed for use in protective coating applications for infrastructure and high-value assets.
Honeywell developed the resin as a superior alternative to poly-fluoroethylene vinyl ether (FEVE) polymers. Honeywell’s product has a unique polymer structure with higher fluorine content, which delivers excellent weather and chemical resistance.
Moreover, Honeywell’s fluoropolymers are lower in viscosity, so customers can use less organic solvents, which enables customers to comply with tightening regulations for volatile organic compounds (VOC).“Honeywell’s new fluoropolymer resin was developed by our technical team after years of testing and optimization”, said Ken Gayer, Vice President and general manager of Honeywell Fluorine Products.
“In addition to the significant performance benefits, this new product brings environmental benefits as well by reducing VOC emissions.”One example of the new product’s application can be seen in its use by Jiangsu Toppen Science & Technology a leading Chinese graphene manufacturer.
Jiangsu is using the resin to help protect the newly completed first-kilometer section of a 23-kilometer-long chemical pipeline structure in Jiangsu Province, China.
“Honeywell’s fluoropolymer resin is an excellent choice as the top coat to complement Toppen’s innovative graphene primer”, said Zhou Haiyan, Chairman of Jiangsu Toppen. “This ideal combination will not only provide the pipeline structure with superior anti-corrosion protection but also maintain its aesthetic appeal for years to come.
