Voltage regulators aid in ensuring that the system’s voltage profile remains acceptable. A voltage regulator is a part of the power supply unit that makes sure the voltage supply is constant and steady under all operational circumstances. During power outages and changes in load, it controls voltage.
Both AC and DC voltages can be regulated by it. The car’s voltage regulator is in charge of ensuring that particular components always receive the proper quantity of electrical power. This means that if the voltage regulator is damaged, the electrical system’s components may only function intermittently or not at all.
The voltage regulator is required to maintain voltages within the permitted range that the electrical equipment employing that voltage can tolerate.
GLOBAL EV VOLTAGE REGULATOR MARKET SIZE AND FORECAST
The Global EV Voltage regulator market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH
ABB introduces a line voltage regulator to make it easier to integrate renewable energy At the International Conference and Exhibition on Electricity Distribution (CIRED) in Lyon, France, today, ABB, a world leader in power and automation technology, formally launched its line voltage regulator (LVR) product family for distribution networks, which will increase reliability as grids receive more electricity from renewable energy installations.
A greater proportion of erratic and intermittent electricity enters the mix as a result of increasing amounts of energy from renewable resources, mainly wind and solar. When voltage levels in the distribution network are unstable and fluctuate often, this can put electrical equipment at risk if it goes above the regulators’ maximum permissible level.
It is intended for the line voltage regulator to help control these variations and adjust the voltage as necessary. Line voltage regulators are available from ABB for both medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) grids. Both the MV and LV regulators, which are available for ratings up to 8 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) and 250 Kilo Volt Ampere (kVA), allow the voltage to be modified by up to +/-10%. Both products feature minimal energy losses and are engineered for easy installation
.Our most recent line voltage regulator addresses a significant stability issue brought on by the growing amount of renewable energy entering the power network by automatically adjusting the voltage based on the actual load or generation mix in the distribution system.
