A transformer-feeder is a device that connects a transformer directly to a transmission line circuit without using HV switchgear as a middleman. Unfortunately, the additional complexity of the required protection reduces the savings in HV switchgear that were previously realized.
Circular feed There will be three high voltage bushings on transformers (H1, H2, and H3). To accommodate the incoming high voltage wires, there is one bushing for each phase. Transformers connected to Wye and Grounded Wye will additionally have an H0 bushing.
Feeding loop There will be six high voltage bushings on transformers (H1A, H2A, H3A, H1B, H2B, and H3B). Each phase has a pair of bushings. The customer is able to create a loop configuration by connecting all of their Transformers in this way.
The user will be able to supply the Transformer with two feeds as well. The A feed and the B feed can be switched between using a four-position switch.
A memorandum of understanding was signed by Siemens Energy and Casa dos Ventos, one of the first and largest investors in the development of wind farms in Brazil, for the provision of the region’s first Sensformer Advanced digitally enabled power transformers. At the substation of the Rio do Vento wind farm extension, these transformers are now in use and digitally connected to a private and secure web platform.
The Global Feeding Transformer Market accounted for $XX Billion in 2023 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2029, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2024 to 2030.
