A building’s fire protection system is incomplete without fire pumps, especially in high-rise structures. In structures with levels from 400-500 ft. and higher, fire pumps are essential for distributing water through sprinkler systems in areas where water pressure from water mains and fire fighting equipment are insufficient.
A fire pump is essential to containing a fire, even in lower-set buildings. At its best, firefighting is a dangerous job; however, without a pump and system that have been professionally designed and installed, it becomes even more dangerous, putting lives and business assets at risk.
The Global Fire Pump market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
A portable fire pump service pilot project was recently launched by American Fire Equipment. They are excited to introduce the new service locally before expanding it to other Hiller locations with sprinkler departments.
When fire pumps are being serviced or repaired, portable fire pumps are a good alternative. On a single tank of fuel, they can run continuously for twelve hours. “This is a specialty market that has relatively little contest.
“It really has the potential to expand to customers across Hiller regions quickly,” says one of only four businesses doing this.
As a customer, one of the biggest advantages is that they also get the necessary permits and approvals for the portable systems by commissioning them with the cities.
Their technicians dismantle the temporary system, reconnect the permanent one, and pick up the unit from the location once repairs are finished on the permanent fire pump.
Their responsibility is to make the customer believe that nothing unusual is going on. “When they provide these pumps to our existing customers, we are already familiar with their systems, and they can typically get a system delivered within 24 hours and set up within a couple of days.”
With outside organizations, they convey the fire siphons, and afterward the client should call somebody to come introduce and set it up and afterward separate it toward the end.”
“There is no one else doing this the way we do, and it offers our customers a cost-effective solution that minimizes downtime and keeps their system running,” according to AFE. “This is a really exciting offering for AFE and for our customers.”
