    PACECO Group Introduces a Hydrogen Fuel Cell Power Pack. A hydrogen fuel cell power pack (FCPP), created as a crucial power system for the Rubber-Tired-Gantry crane, has been successfully completed and its power generation verified, according to Mitsui E&S Machinery Co., Ltd. (MES-M).

     

    This development project is being carried out by MES-M thanks to funding from the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). Mitsui E&S Power Systems, Inc., a MES-M subsidiary, conducted fuel cell integration and performance testing. In MES-M Oita Works, the FCPP will be mounted on a Transtainer crane for additional testing and optimization.

     

    The integration of a fuel cell and sizable high-pressure hydrogen fuel tanks from Toyota Motor Corporation with a non-automotive application is being used for the first time here in the entire world. The H2-ZE Transtainer crane’s zero-emission development must be accomplished. Additionally, it is being considered to modify FCPP for use in other applications.
