Only nine days after the deal was agreed upon, ANTONOV Airlines obtains special authorization to land in Gabon’s second city and transfers two crushing machines.
With the aid of internal ANTONOV Airlines loading technology, ANTONOV Airlines completed a trip hauling mining equipment from East Midlands Airport (EMA) in the UK to Franceville Airport (MVB) in Gabon in nine days.
Ground employees at EMA loaded two tracked crushing machines using a specially designed ramp from ANTONOV Airline that was controlled remotely during the process in order to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Precision was essential when loading the two machines because their combined weight was close to 70 tonnes. They just needed one flight for this project because two vehicles measuring 18.68 metres in length will fit perfectly in the AN-124-hold, 100’s which has a length of slightly over 36 metres.
