GLOBAL GPPO MODULE MARKET SIZE AND FORECAST

The Global GPPO module market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2030.

    RECENT PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

A set of micro-miniature push-on, snap-on connectors from Koaxis Inc. with an operating frequency of 65 GHz. In comparison to the SMP connector series, the SMPM connector is 30% smaller and runs at a higher frequency. The SMPM connector is perfect for high density applications because it takes up very little room.

SMPM connections provide good vibration resistance and match quickly. The slotted outer body SMPM connector design is not as effective for signal separation as thread on connector designs like 1.85 mm connectors.

Other brand names for SMPM connectors include Carlisle Interconnect Technologies SSMP, Corning Gilbert GPPO, and Micro-Mode MSSP. All MIL-STD-348B-compliant SMPM connectors are intermateable.

SMP adapters and Mini-SMP adapters from Pasternack Enterprises, also referred to as SMPM adapters, may convert a variety of connection types, including SMP, Mini SMP, SMA, 2.92mm, 2.4mm, 3.5mm, and 1.85mm connectors.

Depending on the kind and design, the frequency ratings for these SMP and SMPM microwave adapters range from 18 GHz to 65 GHz. These new Mini-SMP and SMP adapter models with improved frequency and precision are fully compatible with Corning Gilbert GPO and GPPO connections.

These brand-new Corning Gilbert GPO and GPPO compliant adapters are perfect for use with test systems that have SMA, 2.92mm, or 2.4mm test ports and need to connect to a Mini SMP or SMP enabled Device Under Test (DUT).

Launch of quad-channel surface-mount modulator drivers for coherent long-haul M/A-wave 100, 200, and 400G The newest additions to COM Technology Solutions Inc S portfolio of modulator drivers for line-side applications at 100G and higher have been made available.

COM Technology Solutions Inc is a manufacturer of semiconductors, components, and subassemblies for analogue, RF, microwave, and millimetre-wave applications in Lowell, Massachusetts, USA.

Quad-channel 32Gbps modulator drivers are housed in small-form-factor surface-mount packages as the MAOM-003406 and MAOM-003408. The components support the most recent 4″x5″ surface-mount lithium niobate optical modulators, enabling the development of the next-generation of OIF transponders.

The new products add to MACOM’s current line-up of quad-channel GPPO modules and single- and dual-channel surface-mount drivers, which are being shipped in large quantities in first-generation 100G systems. A limiting driver with an output voltage range of up to 7.2Vpp is the MAOM-003406.

A linear driver with an output voltage of up to 6 Vpp is called the MAOM-003408. Both contain differential inputs to reduce crosstalk and improve the interface with linear systems’ digital-to-analog converters (DACs). The single-ended outputs are made to interact with the modulator inputs directly and with the least amount of parasitics possible.

To enable a consistent board design across system platforms, the drivers are each incorporated in 13mm x 19mm surface-mount packages and have pin compatibility. According to the product line manager for Optoelectronics, MACOM can now claim to have the widest selection of modulator drivers for coherent applications, with solutions for all data rates, modulator types, and module form factors.

In a small, hermetically sealed box with a pigtailed fibre input, the RX Series of High-Speed Receivers from Thorlabs combines a photodiode with a transimpedance amplifier. They are made to be used as parts in systems where the user needs a dependable, high-bandwidth detecting device and are offered with maximum bandwidths of 10 GHz, 25 GHz, 38 GHz, 40 GHz, or 42 GHz.

The same amplifier is used by the RX38 and RX42 series receivers, but different photodiodes. All of these receivers come standard with FC/PC connectors, however FC/APC connectors can be ordered; for more information, please contact Tech Support. Depending on the device, the coaxial output connectors (2.92 mm or dual GPPO) enable cables to be attached to the module and subsequently routed to the add-on hardware.
