The coaxial helical gear units have the output shaft of the gear unit aligned with the motor shaft. In-line helical motors are typically employed in applications requiring moderate speeds and great torque.
An element, known as a helical geared motor, has a mechanism that modifies the motor's speed, causing it to run at a specific pace. Due to the gearhead's role as a torque multiplier and capacity to enable small motors to produce higher speeds, geared motors may deliver tremendous torque at low speeds.
In essence, a geared motor is a combination of a speed reducer and a motor that normally functions as a gearbox, to reduce speed and make more torque accessible.
This makes it also known as a gear reducer. The motor can be used to classify geared motors.Helical geared motors are angular geared motors in which the motor shaft and output shaft of the gear unit are 90° turned. A shaft for helical geared units may be solid or hollow.
The Global Helical Geared Motor market accounted for $XX Billion in 2023 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2024 to 2030.
Telco gears introduces "helical gearmotor" which comes from the way the teeth of a helical gearmotor are positioned in relation to the main gear axis at an angle. Because of this configuration, the helical teeth can gradually mesh and, as the engagement process progresses, form a contact line. Less noise is one of a helical gearmotor's most noticeable advantages, especially at medium-to-high speeds.
Since the helical gears are always meshing, the geared force is transferred from one tooth to the next more smoothly as a result. This decreases wear and tear while reducing vibrations and increasing load. The choice of bearings for particular helical gearmotors is significantly influenced by the axial forces.
They gave a smooth, easy-to-clean surface a high emphasis while designing the NORDBLOC.1 helical geared motor series. Users in hygienically crucial businesses like the food or pharmaceutical sectors should pay particular attention to this quality.
nord produce BLOC.1 Helical Gear Units with a die cast aluminium or grey cast iron housing, depending on the size of the gear unit. With each version, you get the best performance in this way.
The NORDBLOC.1 series' aluminium housing offers built-in protection against corrosion. However, we can also offer additional security if necessary thanks to the ground-breaking nsd tupH surface treatment. It cannot flake off like traditional paint, which is a huge advantage in hostile situations. Check out this article to learn how NORDBLOC.1 Helical Geared Motors maximise production.
In order to meet the needs of the majority of industrial applications, Renold Gears has announced the introduction of a new line of geared motors with reduction gear and geared motor alternatives.
The R Series inline helical, the K Series bevel helical, and the S Series helical worm gear units are among the new range's offerings. They can accommodate standard IEC motors and have been constructed with interchangeable Euro dimensions for quick and simple replacement.
All of the geared motor units in the new line have epoxy-polyester powder-coated cast iron bodies for strength and longevity, an oil-tight gearhead to prevent oil spills during motor replacement, and geared motor units.
With ratios up to 160:1 in three stages and 35,000:1 in combined form, the K Series bevel helical gear units are suited for power levels up to 160kW. The R Series inline helical gear units can handle power ratings of up to 160 kW, two-stage ratios of up to 58:1, and combined ratios of up to 16,200:1 when used in this way.
The S Series helical worm gear units can handle power ratings of up to 45kW, ratios of up to 250:1 in two stages, and 60,000:1 when combined. The output torque of the K Series bevel helical range, the R Series inline helical range, and the S Series helical worm gear range is up to 33,000Nm, 20,000Nm, 10,000Nm, and 20,000Nm, respectively, with low cost per Nm.
For businesses doing business in hazardous regions, WEG has launched geared motors that are ATEX compliant. A Watt Drive helical gear unit and a W22X motor are used in the explosion-proof geared motor from WEG. The new line, which combines gear units from WEG subsidiary WATT Drive with W22X motors, is intended for demanding processing applications across almost all global industries.
These motors are offered in frame sizes ranging from IEC 71 to IEC 800 and energy efficiency levels up to IE4. IEC adapters can be used to pair W22X motors with any gear unit available from Watt Drive. All drive and flange choices, including solid shaft with flange and hollow shaft with shrink disc, are available for the whole range of gear ratios offered by MAS gear units.
The gear units include hollow-shaft or shrink-disc coverings that are impact-resistant and completely comply with ATEX regulations. Heavy-duty oils that can withstand high temperatures are utilised, and all bolts are fastened to avoid inadvertent loosening.
Motors with IEC B5 mounting can be directly attached to modular Watt gear units using the ATEX 95 certified adapters for motors with frame sizes ranging from 71 to 225. For frame sizes between 100 and 225, torque transfer from the motor to the gear unit is handled by form-fitting, zero-backlash claw couplings, with an elastic coupling spider effectively dampening vibration and shock (98 Shore A).
