INTRODUCTION
PPS, also known as polyphenylene sulphide, is a partly crystalline, high-temperature, high-performance polymer that is frequently used because of its high melting point and built-in flame retardancy.A simple chemical compound comprised of benzene and sulphur is known as polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) resin, which is crystalline and heat resistant.
In applications involving exposure to corrosive chemicals at high temperatures, PPS is a chemical and corrosion resistant plastic material that is frequently utilised.
PPS has exceptional mechanical qualities and can withstand steam and hot water.Brittleness and a propensity to warp are just two drawbacks of this technical plastic. Before choosing a resin to utilise for the application, it’s critical to understand how PPS will respond to various environments and situations.

NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH
Teijin Launches SOLFIGA Brand for Imaginary High-performance Specialised PPS Compounds Teijin Limited announced the full launch of SOLFIGA today. SOLFIGA is a new brand of high-performance, specialised polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) compounds created with unique PPS resin technology of Initz Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Teijin and SK Chemicals.
Teijin has previously manufactured a number of specialised goods, small-lot orders, and samples. Later, the company intends to produce SOLFIGA goods at Teijin Chemicals Plastic Compounds Shanghai Ltd. in China and Teijin Corporation (Thailand) Limited in Thailand.
Teijin made the decision to combine the high-performance material and highly functional compound technologies of the group with INITZ’s PPS resin in order to provide manufacturers with a larger range of options for achieving weight reduction and improved designability.
In the future, Teijin plans to use its expertise in compounds and technology to develop SOLFIGA, primarily for automotive and electronics solutions, in order to meet the increasingly varied needs of clients throughout the world in these industries.
The SOLFIGA product line contains characteristics from a variety of other high-performance Teijin Group materials, including aramid and carbon fibres, specialised polycarbonate (PC) resin, and PPS resin from INITZ.
