A new lightweight, high-speed digital data cable called the MX10G-24-ALW has been added to Carlisle Interconnect Technologies’ line of Gigabit-Plus Ethernet cables. Instead of the traditional copper-based shield, the 100 1-10 G Base-T Ethernet cable has a circular aluminium shield, according to the manufacturer, which reduces weight without compromising electrical performance or temperature rating (up to 150°C).
The cable works with either the common RJ-45 or CarlisleIT Octax connectors and enables gigabit data up to 250MHz. Additionally, it complies with ROHS regulations, FAR 25.853 flammability standards, and Boeing/Airbus smoke and toxicity standards.
