A current sense amplifier (also known as a current shunt amplifier) is a differential amplifier integrated circuit (IC) that is designed to detect the voltage produced across a current shunt resistor and output a voltage proportionate to the measured current.

Current sense amplifiers of today are high-precision, bi-directional devices with digital outputs, rapid sampling rates, and a very broad input common-mode range.
The demand for quick and precise current sensing for overcurrent (fault) protection, current metering, power monitoring, battery management and monitoring, and high-power converters is increasing rapidly.
Current sensing is required for a wide range of items, including industrial automation, telecom infrastructure equipment, portable appliances, and battery-powered gadgets. This critical function is carried out by current sense amplifiers (CSAs).
The India Current Sense Amplifiers Market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2026, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2027.
STMicroelectronics has invented three precision high-voltage bidirectional current-sense amplifiers, each with a Shutdown pin for maximum energy efficiency.
The TSC2010, TSC2011, and TSC2012 amplifiers also enable designers to reduce power dissipation by using precise qualities to choose low sense-resistor values.
The offset voltage at 25°C is within 200V, with less than 5V/°C drift, and the gain accuracy is within 0.3 percent, allowing the devices to detect a voltage drop as low as 10mV full-scale and offer reliable and trustworthy observations.
The gain range â 20V/V for the TSC2010, 60V/V for the TSC2011, and 100V/V for the TSC2012 â allows for the creation of precise current measurement, overcurrent protection, current monitoring, and current-feedback circuits for a wide range of industrial and automotive applications like Data acquisition.
