A new class of test equipment called an insulation multimeter combines a megohmmeter with a fully functional True RMS DMM. It is a comprehensive tool for maintaining and repairing production machinery, electrical distribution systems, and motor systems.
Mega-ohmmeters are used to measure insulation resistance. They are occasionally referred to specifically as "insulation multimeters." This tool should be used when a particular value of insulation is required between conductors or between a conductor and ground.
The Global Insulation Multimeter market accounted for $XX Billion in 2023 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
The Fluke 1587 FC Insulation Multimeter was launched by Fluke Corp. It is a multifunctional portable equipment that combines a high performance wireless digital insulation tester with a full-featured true-rms digital multimeter.
The Fluke 1587 FC wireless offers improved versatility for both diagnostic and maintenance applications. The CAT III 1000 V/CAT IV 600 V safety-rated 1587 FC has insulation tests of 0.01 megaohm to 2 gigaohm and insulation test voltages of 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000V. It also has a VFD low-pass filter for precise motor driving measurements.
Additionally, it has user-safety features like automatic capacitive voltage discharge and live circuit identification that stop insulation testing if a voltage of more than 30 V is detected on the test object.
The new Fluke Connect Assets software receives crucial data from the 1587 FC as well, giving managers thorough dashboard views of all crucial equipment, including baseline, historical, and current test tool measurement data, making it simple to set up and sustain a preventive maintenance (PM) or condition-based maintenance (CBM) system with little initial outlay.
To increase field productivity, technicians can use the 1587 FC in conjunction with the free Fluke Connect software to record and save measurements.
