Lambda-cyhalothrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide used worldwide in agriculture, home pest control, protection of foodstuff, and disease vector control. Lambdaâcyhalothrin is moderately toxic when eaten, inhaled or exposed to skin, but it is not allergenic.
No adverse human health effects are expected as a result of exposure to the negligible levels used in fruit fly control. Lambda-Cyhalothrin is a synthetic pyrethroid, a man-made version of natural-occurring pyrethrum which is derived from petals of the chrysanthemum flower.
Lambda-Cyhalothrin has the ability to kill target insects either through coming into physical contact with the chemical or via consumption. The worst pesticides include Atrazine, Flupyradi furone, Hexachlorobenzene, Glyphosate, Methomyl, and Rotenone.
Based on WHO data, they are particular hazards b/c of: bioaccumulation; persistence in water, soil/ sediment; toxicity to aquatic organisms; and toxicity to bees/ ecosystem services.
Lambda-cyhalothrin kills insects by contact, ingestion and ovicidal action, and is not locally systemic in plants. It offers rapid knockdown and residual control while anti-feeding and repellency properties extend the biological effect against some pests.
Global lambda cyhalothrin market accounted for $XX Billion in 2023 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2024 to 2030.
Meghmani Organics Starts Production of Lambda Cyhalothrin, Flubendiamide, Beta Cyfluthrin and Pymetrozine in India. Meghmani Organics Limited(â³MOLâ³) increased its existing production of Lambda cyhalothrin Technical to 2400 MT in a newly setup plant in Dahej with complete backward integration.
This initiative is in line with Atmanirbhar Bharat an initiative by Govt of India. MOL with its renewed and state of art formulation facility at Panoli, Gujarat already offers Lambda cyhalothrin in various formulations like CS, EC, SL, WP to its global customers.
MOL also announces commencement of another newly setup multifunctional plant of Flubendiamide with initial capacity of 300 MTPA, Beta Cyfluthrin with capacity of 600 MTPA and Pymetrozine with initial capacity of 600 MTPA.
This is in continuation to the Company's strategic decision to meet growing agrochemical demand in the domestic and Global market. MOL is already in the process to announce more product launches in coming days.
MOLâs Bifenthrin production facility was also expanded further recently with a new capacity of 2200 MTPA. It is well focused to meet the growing global demand and service to its customers.
