    GLOBAL LOGIC TRANSLATORS MARKET

    INTRODUCTION

A semiconductor chip that functions as an interface in an application and converts a logic signal from one type to another is called a logic translator, also known as a level shifter.

From reputable manufacturers, Future Electronics offers a broad selection of logic translators. One voltage or logic level to another is adapted or converted using logic level translators (LLTs), also known as voltage level translators.

They are utilized to allow two devices in a system with incompatible input/output voltages to communicate with one another. Given that newer technologies continue to require less power, these mismatched voltages are frequently discovered in circuits including both old and new devices.

GLOBAL LOGIC TRANSLATORS MARKET SIZE AND FORECAST

The Global logic translators market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2030.

    NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

Since the days when TTL and 5V CMOS were the prevalent standards for logic circuits, electronic design has seen significant changes.

Lower voltage logic, which can result in incompatibility between input and output levels for the logic families inside a system, has been made more common by the rising complexity of contemporary electronic systems. For instance, communicating between a digital part functioning at 1.8V and an analogue component operating at 3.3V is commonplace.

The proliferation of digital integrated circuits (ICs) with incompatible voltage rails, lower VDD rails, or dual VCORE and VI/O rails has necessitated the translation of logic levels. Logic-level translation is also required due to the use of mixed-signal ICs, whose supply voltages are lower and have not kept up with those of their digital equivalents.

The range of voltages encountered, the quantity of lines to be translated (for example, a 4-line Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) versus a 32-bit data bus), and the speed of the digital signals all affect the type of translation mechanism used. Fewer logic ICs are able to translate from low to high levels (for example, from 5V to 3.3V logic) (3.3V to 5V).

NEXPERIA EXPANDS LOGIC PORTFOLIO WITH NEW VOLTAGE TRANSLATOR DEVICES. Nexperia the former Standard Products division of NXP, today announced that it is expanding its logic portfolio, already the largest in the industry with new devices that expand the company‘s translator solutions into the standard logic shift register arena.

The first translator solution in the expanded range, 74LVC8T595 is a world’s first: a cascadable 8-bit serial-in, parallel-out I/O expansion device that combines shift register function with voltage translation. This single-chip solution replaces two devices, delivering higher levels of integration and a smaller footprint.

It operates in the 1.1 to 5.5 V range, enabling newer low-voltage controllers to interface with legacy solutions.  74LVC8T595 benefits from Nexperia’s LVC family technology with IOFF circuitry for partial power down-mode operation, which contributes to energy savings.

The device is available in 20-pin leaded TSSOP and leadless DQFN packages. Both packages are specified for -40 °C to +125 °C and can be released in the company’s Automotive (-Q100) portfolio. Nexperia already markets the lowest power 5V, 3.3V and 1.8.V translator solutions and it is bringing this capability to its new standard logic voltage translating shift register products.

These new devices are helping to create a market by enabling voltage-level translation for new low-voltage controllers to interface with legacy solutions and vice versa. Devices save space and BOM costs and help to improve system integration and performance.
