Azenta, Inc. and the Government of Luxembourg signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) today to facilitate continued healthcare technology development in Luxembourg. Luxembourg’s Economy Minister, and President and CEO of Azenta, signed the MoU at Azenta’s worldwide headquarters in Massachusetts.
Azenta, Inc. has acquired B Medical Systems, a Luxembourg-based global vaccine and medical cold chain provider.
The memorandum of understanding confirms Azenta’s desire to preserve the production activities of its subsidiary in Luxembourg, B Medical Systems, and to continue the projects undertaken by the subsidiary until then, as well as the Ministry of Economy’s intention to continue to support the company’s development in Luxembourg.
The Azenta acquisition should also provide B Medical Systems with access to new markets, owing to the group’s broad network of customers in areas where B Medical Systems has hitherto had a limited presence.
The acquisition of B Medical Systems, one of our industrial flagships, by a world-renowned firm such as Azenta underlines the dynamism of the Luxembourg health technology sector, which is one of the pillars of Luxembourg’s economic diversification policy.
Their goal with this memorandum of understanding is to continue their good collaboration with B Medical Systems, particularly in its future research, development, and innovation projects, as well as to find potential synergies.
They look forward to continuing their collaboration and engagement with the Luxembourg government. B Medical Systems, which recently joined Azenta, has a long history of business in Luxembourg, and they plan to build on their already impressive track record of expansion and innovation.
