Sharper images with more contrast and detail are made possible by the sensor’s high modulation transfer function (MTF), which is crucial for improving decision-making in machine vision applications.

     

    Artilux and II-VI have released a tiny 3D camera that uses shortwave infrared technology. The GeSi SWIR sensor array used in the Artilux camera has a high bandwidth and high quantum efficiency and is built on a scalable CMOS technology platform.

     

    With displays that can recognise, delineate, categorise, and render image content, or with avatars that can perceive real-time eye contact and facial expressions, the SWIR camera demonstration offers a glimpse of the future of 3D sensing in the metaverse.
