A charging station sometimes referred to as a charge point or an EVSE, is a piece of equipment that provides electrical power for plug-in electric vehicle charging (including electric cars, electric trucks, electric buses, neighborhood electric vehicles, and plug-in hybrids).
The charging speeds offered by various EVSE variants vary. For every hour of charging, level 1 charging stations provide a range of around 5 miles using a 120 volt (V), alternating current (AC), plug and a dedicated circuit.
Level 2 stations need the installation of home charging or public charging equipment and charge using a 240V, AC outlet. For every hour of charging at a level 2 station, 10 to 20 miles of range are provided. DC fast chargers are another name for level 3 chargers. A 480V direct-current (DC) socket is used for Level 3.
Electric utility providers or private organizations offer charging stations in public parking lots or at retail shopping areas under the name electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE). These stations offer unique connectors that adhere to the various requirements for electric charging connectors.
The Mexico EV Charger Market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2026, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2027.
To introduce electric mobility throughout Mexico and all of Latin America, Circontrol is collaborating with the Mexican firm Xignux. This collaboration has resulted in the creation of Voltway, a company that will concentrate on providing full charging point services for electric cars, including equipment installation and maintenance.
Circontrol and Xignux will create a robust network of charging infrastructure throughout Mexico in all its forms through Voltway. Voltway will provide charging stations and ports for private and public highways, as well as for residences, workplaces, retail establishments, bus and delivery fleets, and more.
Both the equipment’s installation and ongoing maintenance are taken care of by Voltway.
