The mobile liquefaction unit provides a space-optimized, fully integrated liquid hydrogen solution that can be utilized for a variety of purposes, such as expediting the usage of liquid hydrogen through pilot projects and testing, transportation, energy backup, and more.
In order to liquefy gaseous hydrogen, it must be cooled down below 253°C (423°F). Once hydrogen has been liquefied, it can be kept in massive, insulated tanks at the liquefaction facility. Liquidizing hydrogen requires energy; utilizing current technology, liquefaction costs money and uses up more than 30% of the hydrogen's energy content.
The Global Mobile hydrogen liquefaction system market accounted for $XX Billion in 2023 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2024 to 2030.
The LS20 Mobile Liquid Hydrogen System, an end-to-end liquefaction and storage system, was introduced by hydrogen infrastructure business GenH2.
The mobile liquefaction unit provides a space-optimized, fully integrated liquid hydrogen solution that can be utilized for a variety of purposes, such as expediting the usage of liquid hydrogen through pilot projects and testing, transportation, energy backup, and more.
In addition, it will serve as a testing ground for material, insulation, thermodynamic characteristics, and use scenarios for their applications.
The LS20 was built by GenH2 with the capability of creating modest amounts of liquid hydrogen in order to give access to more hydrogen researchers and hydrogen industry players. GenH2's objective is to deliver light-scale infrastructure solutions for liquid hydrogen.
The LS20 can manufacture two to twenty kilograms (kg) of liquid hydrogen per day, ensuring that there is always liquid hydrogen available for use. Twenty kilograms of liquid hydrogen can be easily stored and utilized in the ultralight utility tank systems of GenH2 and holds over 2400 Megajoules of energy.
The LS20, the smallest mobile liquid hydrogen unit currently on the market, is self-sufficient and can operate on its own using a portable generator or by connecting to a building's power supply. This makes the LS20 suitable for supplying fuel to multipurpose drones and giving first responders an emergency power supply.
