The Battery-Free Wireless Sensor Network (BF-WSN) is a revolutionary network design that addresses the shortcomings of standard Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs).
The unique characteristics of BF-WSNs make the coverage problem quite distinct and even more difficult than in standard WSNs.
The battery-free sensors market is gaining pace as a result of the growing industrial applications of the IoT (Internet of Things) in different end-user sectors such as oil and gas, automotive, manufacturing, and production, among others.
Sensors that do not require batteries make it easier to track and provide items while decreasing injuries and losses. As battery-free sensors become more commonly used in medical equipment, consumer electronics, and cellphones, there is an increase in demand for them.
Furthermore, health researchers and innovators are always working on battery-free wearables and devices.
The NORTH AMERICA BATTERY-FREE WIRELESS SENSOR MARKET accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2026, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2027.
ELSYS is introducing ERS Eco, a battery-free sensor line that is powered by Epishine’s indoor solar cells. ELSYS, a market leader in LoRaWAN sensor technology, is releasing their first battery-free devices with Epishine’s indoor light energy collecting system.
The ecologically friendly sensor line is introducing two new sensor models: ERS Eco and ERS Eco CO2. They are biodegradable materials and are totally powered by Epishine’s indoor solar cells.
The ERS ECO series gives consumers total control over their indoor air quality and surroundings. This saves money and minimises CO2 emissions, and its battery-free functioning cuts CO2 emissions even further.
The ELSYS objective of creating an environmentally friendly sensor required battery-free operation as well as a more sustainable enclosure design.
The solution was a collaboration between ELSYS and Epishine, which resulted in a sensor powered purely by indoor solar cells and a biodegradable housing.
