    According to Yamaha, HARMO is a fully functional electric outboard system. Propulsion is provided by a rim-drive electric motor. The motor is situated towards the outside edge of the four-blade, specially designed aluminium impeller.

     

    The 3.7 kW motor delivers 225 pounds of static thrust when powered by a 48-volt source.The 121-pound motor runs essentially in silence. HARMO consists of the Helm Master EX joystick control and integrated digital-electric steering.

     

    The device has the ability to spin whenever needed.The engine can be totally removed from the equation by tilting it up to 74 degrees. Installation of HARMO can be done with one or two units. The twin system can be used to manoeuvre a boat up to 32 feet long.
