An overhead stirrer is a tool used in laboratories for homogenising, mixing, suspending, and recirculating big quantities or highly viscous substances. When a magnetic stirrer cannot be used, overhead stirrers are usually used.
Overhead stirrers allow you to keep an eye on a reaction’s development as density changes. The stirrer itself, along with paddles, rods, and supports, make up an overhead stirrer.
One of its key components is the stick. Depending on the stirring motion, speed, turbulence, and flow they produce, the various kinds of paddles are used for various purposes.
The term “viscosity” describes how viscous a fluid is when stirred. When mixing, greater torque is needed from the stirrer’s engine due to higher viscosity.
The stirrer needs to be able to keep going despite the shifting viscosity conditions. Make sure the overhead stirrer can manage your batches’ highest viscosities as a result. By model, stirring rates can differ.
A single speed or a variety of speeds are typically offered by stirrers. Think about the speeds required for the mixing you usually do. It is extremely useful to have an overhead stirrer with a digital speed indicator.
The Global Overhead Stirrer market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
OHAUS Corporation has introduced the new range of Achiever 5000 Overhead Stirrers to better serve their international clients who depend on them for precision instruments.
The OHAUS laboratory equipment line, which includes centrifuges, shakers, mixers, heaters, hotplates, heaters, moisture analyzers, analytical instruments, precision balances, and scales, is expanding and now contains Achiever.
These strong new overhead stirrers are designed to manage high-volume stirring without sacrificing precision, with capacities up to 100 L and 200 Ncm torque, respectively. The Achiever 5000 line offers five models that can be chosen based on user requirements.
These models are made for a variety of uses in kitchens, industrial settings, labs, and classrooms. Special characteristics abound. Simple lever control and a keyless chuck enable one-handed operation.
The Achiever 5000 gives the user more control over apps with software-controlled speed ramping, a brushless motor, torque compensation, and more than a dozen add-ons.
A sealed design with an IP54 classification, a safety lock, an overload sensor, and an auto shutoff feature are among the safety features. The Achiever 5000 is currently offered by OHAUS-licensed dealers everywhere.
